Professional Interests / Specialties:
Although we all experience change, it doesn't mean that we can always effectively handle the stress of transition. With my support, you can learn to surf the waves of change, steer in the direction that is right for you, and find the clarity, creativity and humor to help you stay afloat.
• Make smoother life transitions and build resilience when dealing with
career changes, mid-life and aging, caregiving, chronic pain and illness,
empty-nesting, relationship difficulties, pet-loss, unexpected success,
and other life-stressing situations
• Learn ways to effectively deal with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief
and loss as well as low self-esteem and sexual identity
• Understand the phenomenon of being a "mid-life orphan" and the effects
of adult sibling and parental deaths on one's life journey
• Explore creativity and self-expression with a special focus on creative
blocks, performance anxiety, and creativity enhancement; understand
the different lifestyle needs of artists, writers, musicians and performers
• Develop inner strength and wisdom while exploring personal spirituality
and history, coping styles, and the meaning of one's own life
• Stay emotionally healthy during stressful times by connecting with others,
developing new skills, learning to improvise in meeting life's challenges,
and laughing - through classes and workshops offered
• In addition to traditional talk therapy, I may use expressive arts, visualization,
awareness of the mind-body connections, mindfulness, and EMDR to enhance
your counseling experience
